STRUCTURAL INSPECTION REPORT

Chaiban Engineering Consultants, Inc. professional staff conducted field observations of the referenced residence on March 19, 2002 at 2:00 PM.

We verified if the subject property meets FHA/VA guidelines in accordance with "Permanent Foundations guide for manufactured housing (ML 97-36)".

Upon our field observations, we note the following:

  1. The property owner pays real estate taxes.
  2. Wheels, axles and trailer hitches have been removed from unit.
  3. Verification that a red tag with a HUD serial number is attached to the unit.
  4. In general compliance with building codes and regional FHA/VA foundation requirements. Foundation was composed of Steel I-Beam bearing on concrete blocks (CMU) tied with Hurricane straps.
  5. The manufactured home was a first put down and was not moved from another site.
  6. The land is owned fee simple and is at the present time owned.
  7. The footings and piers are below frost line.
  8. The canopy for carport was composed of aluminum beams, columns and roof.
  9. Observed no hurricane shutters in exterior windows.
  10. Did not observe any ceiling leaks or damage at the time of inspection.
  11. The unit was built in 1982.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, our findings did not indicate any exterior structural failures or damage at the time of this inspection.

This report is made on the basis of what was visible and accessible at the time of inspections.
